From 27 March 2022 onwards, all shipments with Lufthansa Cargo will only be valid as eAWB. Therefore, we will introduce a new service that comprises the conversion from paper-AWB to electronic air waybill (eAWB).

In case of delivery of a non-eAWB shipment, this new “Paper-to-eAWB” service will convert your paper-AWB into electronic shipment data at local goods acceptance. The paper-AWB will not be transported as legally valid document. All other freight accompanying paper documents, e.g. pouch, remain unaffected. Also for shipments already delivered as eAWB, the process remains unchanged.

The new “Paper-to-eAWB” service, which replaces the former Paper AWB Fee, will be charged with EUR 24,- for each non-eAWB shipment.

For participating in digital processes with eAWB directly, only few activities are necessary. Let’s come together as a digital community to realize the industry goal.
